What personal data we collect and why we collect it

By default we only collect data from google analytics, which is a third party platform focuses on providing information about users’ usage, habits, and their interaction through our platform. it’s used to analyze which pages people most visit, and track their usage on our website. It’s solely for knowing what we should focus and improve upon so the user experience improves.

If you contact us using our contact form, we collect your IP address, including the browser agent that’s being used to submit the form. This is to help us catch spammers, bots, etc… We can use these information to limit access to our services from such incidents.

The data we collect will not be sold to any third party.

Comments

When visitors leave comments and interact with other users on the My News Pill, we collect data in the comments form, such as the ip address of the visitor’s, browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
